Olivia Morrison

  • Founder, Creative Director & Head Teacher

Born and raised in Auckland, Olivia started LivDance in 2022 after dreaming of running her own dance studio since she was a child.  Olivia has been dancing and performing for longer than she can remember. Her natural talent and innate sense of musicality emerged at a young age, and she has trained in a large variety of styles over the past 25 years. Her biggest passion is performance, having been a part of a variety of productions around Auckland since 2011. Olivia has been choreographing and teaching dance for over 14 years, including Musical Theatre, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Ballet with experience teaching people of all ages, ranging from 2 to 80. She strives to create a dance school which offers high levels of dance training while still maintaining a more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. What brings her the greatest joy is to see her students thrive, develop their confidence, and bring out their inner stars. She thrives to create a space for all her students that is safe, inclusive and positive for creativity, growth, and self-expression. Olivia is a huge advocate for mental health due to her own struggles throughout her life. In light of Olivia's struggle to find a place where she truly belonged growing up, LivDance is dedicated to providing that space to others who also feel this way. She believes that dance, performance and community are essential for the mind, body and soul.

Tegan Tusini

  • Teachers Assitant

Tegan has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She just loves to perform and enjoys several styles of dance, for example, Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Contemporary, but Hip-Hop is definitely her favourite. Dancing makes her happy and feel free. As well as dancing several days a week with LivDance, Tegan extends her passion for performing by participating in her school choir and kapahaka group. Tegan is one of 4 siblings and has always shown a caring and nurturing side towards younger tamariki. So when asked if she would like to assist the younger dancers, Tegan didn't hesitate. LivDance is like a second home to Tegan and she is very grateful that she gets too dance to her heart is content and also take on the role of assistant teacher under the amazing guidance of Miss Olivia, who Tegan really admires and trusts.
